BVB LEAGUE MEMBERS:
The Board of Directors has set the date for the BVB Annual General Meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 pm at the Black Bull, 1124 Guelph Line.
The AGM will follow the league's standard agenda, featuring year-end reports from the Board of Directors in respect of the major areas of responsibility, fielding of questions/comments from the membership regarding league operations and voting to install the 2015 Board of Directors.
If you are interested in running for or nominating a position on the 2015 BVB Board of Directors, please forward your nomination to me via e-mail by no later than Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Other than the position of President, which is required to be filled by either one of the current board members or a player who has previously served as a BVB board member for at least one year, the remaining positions are open to all members. These positions include Treasurer, Registrar & Secretary, Parks/Scheduling, Umpire Scheduling and Relations as well as two "at large" positions.
In addition to standard year-end business, this year the AGM will also serve as a year-end banquet/league get together. This follows the route taken at the 2013 AGM, which resulted from low attendance to the separate league banquet event in prior years. Accordingly, year-end awards will also be handed out after the completion of official league business and food will be available for all attendees.
